Agleam Labs

Technology consulting

Make the big technology decisions with clear eyes.

We give leaders an experienced, independent view on architecture, platforms, and engineering plans before money and time are committed. Advice comes from people who build and run software, so it is grounded in what actually works.

  • Technical due diligence
  • Architecture review
  • Roadmaps and build-vs-buy
  • Fractional CTO advisory

Why consult first

The costliest mistakes are made before the first line of code.

Choosing the wrong platform, underestimating a migration, buying software that cannot adapt, or investing in a company whose code will not scale: these decisions are hard to reverse and often made with incomplete information. An outside perspective at the right moment can save months of work and a great deal of money.

Agleam Labs consultants are practising engineers and architects. We look at your systems, plans, and constraints, ask the uncomfortable questions, and give a clear recommendation with the reasoning behind it. When you are ready to act, we can help deliver it, but our advice does not depend on winning the build.

What does technical due diligence cover? +

Typically the architecture, code quality, scalability, security, infrastructure, development process, intellectual property concerns, and the strength of the engineering team, summarised with risks and estimated remediation effort.

How long does a consulting engagement take? +

A focused architecture review or due diligence exercise usually takes one to four weeks. Roadmaps take a little longer, and fractional CTO support runs on an ongoing monthly basis.

Do we have to hire you to build what you recommend? +

No. Our recommendations stand on their own. Many clients use them with their own team or another vendor, and some ask us to help deliver.

Can you work to a deal deadline? +

Yes. Due diligence is scoped around your timetable, and we share early findings as they emerge so nothing important arrives at the last minute.

What access do you need? +

It depends on the question. Usually read-only access to code repositories and documentation, an overview of the infrastructure, and time with key engineers or decision-makers.

Is our information kept confidential? +

Yes. We are happy to sign an NDA before any discussion, and access to your information is limited to the consultants working on the engagement.
