Penetration testing
Find the gaps attackers would use, before they find them first.
Our engineers test your applications and infrastructure the way a determined attacker would, within a scope and rules of engagement you approve in writing. You get evidence of what is genuinely exploitable, ranked by business impact, and practical guidance your developers can act on.
- Web, mobile, API, network and cloud
- Manual testing, not just scanner output
- Written scope and rules of engagement
- Retest included after you fix
Offensive testing, done responsibly
Real attack paths, not a list of theoretical warnings.
Automated scanners are good at spotting known patterns, but they rarely understand how your product actually works. A penetration test adds human judgement: chaining small weaknesses together, abusing business logic, and checking whether one compromised account can reach data it never should. That is how real breaches happen, and it is what we look for.
Every engagement starts with a signed authorisation, an agreed scope, testing windows, and named contacts on both sides. We test in staging or production as you prefer, avoid destructive techniques unless explicitly agreed, and stop to call you immediately if we find something critical. Because we also build software, our recommendations are written for the engineers who will fix them.
What we test
Penetration testing across your whole attack surface.
Pick a single target or combine several into one engagement. Each test follows recognised methodologies and is adapted to your technology and threat model.
01 Web application testing +
- OWASP Top 10
- Access control
- Session handling
- Business logic
- SSRF
Authenticated and unauthenticated testing of web apps for injection, broken access control, session flaws, and business-logic abuse.
02 Mobile application testing +
- OWASP MASVS
- iOS
- Android
- Local storage
- Reverse engineering
iOS and Android apps tested on device and in transit, including local storage, certificate pinning, and the back-end APIs they call.
03 API penetration testing +
- REST
- GraphQL
- BOLA
- JWT
- OWASP API Top 10
REST and GraphQL endpoints probed for object-level authorisation flaws, mass assignment, token weaknesses, and excessive data exposure.
04 External network testing +
- Perimeter
- Port scanning
- VPN
- TLS
- Exposed services
Your internet-facing hosts, services, and VPNs assessed for exposed ports, weak configuration, and exploitable software versions.
05 Internal network testing +
- Lateral movement
- Active Directory
- Privilege escalation
- Segmentation
An assumed-breach view of your internal network, showing how far an attacker could move from a single compromised machine.
06 Cloud penetration testing +
- AWS
- Azure
- Google Cloud
- IAM
- Storage exposure
AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments tested for misconfigured identity, storage, networking, and serverless functions, within provider rules.
07 Reporting and debrief +
- Executive summary
- CVSS ratings
- Proof of concept
- Debrief call
An executive summary for leadership and a technical report with reproduction steps, evidence, risk ratings, and fix guidance for each finding.
08 Retesting and verification +
- Fix verification
- Updated report
- Closure evidence
- Regression checks
Once your team has applied fixes, we retest each finding and issue an updated report showing what is resolved.
What you gain
Confidence based on evidence, not assumptions.
-
Fewer surprises
Exploitable weaknesses are found in a controlled test rather than in an incident.
-
Clear priorities
Findings ranked by real impact, so your team fixes what matters first.
-
Trust with customers
Independent test reports help answer security questionnaires and due-diligence requests.
-
Developer-ready fixes
Guidance written for engineers, with code-level examples where they help.
-
Proof of remediation
Retest results show auditors and clients that issues were actually closed.

How we work
From scoping call to verified fixes.
-
01
Scope and authorise
We agree targets, test type, environments, timings, and rules of engagement, and you sign off the authorisation.
-
02
Test
We combine reconnaissance, automated discovery, and manual exploitation, reporting anything critical to you straight away.
-
03
Report and debrief
You receive a prioritised report and a walkthrough call with the engineers who did the testing.
-
04
Retest
After remediation, we verify each fix and issue an updated report for your records.

Book a call →Is penetration testing safe for our live systems? + −
We plan the test to avoid disruption: agreed testing windows, no denial-of-service or destructive actions unless you explicitly approve them, and a named contact we call immediately if anything unexpected happens. Many clients prefer a production-like staging environment, which we are happy to use.
What do you need from us before testing starts? + −
A signed authorisation, the agreed scope and targets, test accounts for each user role, and any third-party permissions required, for example from your hosting or cloud provider where their policies call for it. We send a short checklist so nothing is missed.
How long does a penetration test take? + −
A focused web or API test typically takes one to two weeks including reporting. Larger scopes covering several applications, networks, or cloud accounts usually run two to four weeks. We confirm the timeline during scoping.
Black box, grey box, or white box: which should we choose? + −
Grey box, with user credentials and some documentation, usually gives the best value because time is spent finding real issues rather than guessing at the basics. Black box suits an outside-attacker view; white box, with source code access, gives the deepest coverage.
Is a retest included? + −
Yes. Once your team has fixed the findings, we retest them within an agreed window and issue an updated report showing what is resolved and anything that still needs work.
Will the report help with compliance or customer questionnaires? + −
Yes. Independent penetration test reports are commonly requested for frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS, and by enterprise customers. We can provide a shorter attestation letter alongside the full technical report.
