Cybersecurity engineering
Security built into your software, not bolted on afterwards.
We design, build, and harden systems so that protection is part of how they work, from architecture and code to identity and operations. Your team ships with confidence, and your customers can trust what you run.
- Secure architecture and code
- Threat modelling
- Identity and encryption
- Monitoring and response
Our approach
Most breaches start with an engineering decision.
An exposed storage bucket, an over-privileged service account, an unvalidated input, a library left unpatched for a year. Few security incidents begin with a sophisticated attack; most exploit ordinary gaps left during design and delivery. That makes security an engineering discipline as much as a policy one.
Agleam Labs brings security into every stage of the software lifecycle. We model threats while designing, enforce secure coding and automated checks in pipelines, lock down identity and data, and set up the monitoring that tells you when something is wrong. The aim is practical protection proportionate to your risk, not a binder of policies nobody reads.
Security services
Protection at every layer.
Engineering work that reduces real risk in your applications, infrastructure, and day-to-day operations.
01 Secure architecture +
- Defence in depth
- Zero trust
- Segmentation
- Trust boundaries
System designs with defence in depth, network segmentation, least privilege, and clear trust boundaries between components.
02 Threat modelling +
- STRIDE
- Attack surface
- Risk ranking
- Control mapping
Structured sessions that identify how your system could be attacked and which controls matter most, before code is written.
03 Secure SDLC and DevSecOps +
- SAST
- DAST
- Dependency scanning
- Secrets detection
- Code review
Secure coding standards, peer review, and automated scanning built into pipelines so issues are caught before they reach production.
04 Identity and access management +
- SSO
- MFA
- OAuth and OIDC
- RBAC
- Least privilege
Single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, role-based access, and service identities designed so people and systems have only the access they need.
05 Data protection and encryption +
- TLS
- Encryption at rest
- Key management
- Data masking
Encryption in transit and at rest, key management, data classification, and privacy controls for sensitive and regulated information.
06 Application and cloud hardening +
- OWASP Top 10
- Cloud posture
- Container security
- Patch management
Reviews and fixes for application, container, and cloud configurations, closing common weaknesses and misconfigurations.
07 Security monitoring and logging +
- Centralised logging
- Alerting
- SIEM
- Audit trails
Centralised logs, alerting, and detection rules that surface suspicious activity quickly, with runbooks for how to respond.
08 Incident readiness +
- Response plans
- Recovery testing
- Tabletop exercises
- Post-incident review
Response plans, backup and recovery testing, and tabletop exercises so your team knows exactly what to do if something happens.
What you gain
Confidence that your systems can take a hit.
-
Reduced risk
Common attack paths closed off by design rather than by luck.
-
Security without slowdown
Automated checks in pipelines keep releases fast and safe.
-
Controlled access
Every person and service has the minimum access it needs.
-
Faster detection
Monitoring and alerts surface problems while they are still small.
-
Customer trust
Clear evidence of good practice for clients, partners, and auditors.

How we work
A clear path to a stronger security posture.
-
01
Assess
We review architecture, code, cloud configuration, and access, and rank the risks we find.
-
02
Prioritise
We agree a remediation plan that tackles the highest-impact issues first, within your budget.
-
03
Engineer
We implement fixes, controls, and automated checks directly in your systems and pipelines.
-
04
Monitor and improve
We set up detection and response, and revisit the risk picture as your systems change.

Tell us what you are working on. A senior engineer will reply with honest advice and a suggested next step.
Book a call →Is this the same as penetration testing? + −
Not quite. Penetration testing checks a finished system from the outside. Security engineering builds protection in from design onwards and fixes what is found. We can arrange testing as part of the work and then remediate the results.
Can you help us prepare for a compliance audit? + −
Yes. We implement the technical controls that frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI DSS expect, and help gather evidence. Formal certification is issued by an accredited auditor, not by us.
Will security work slow down our releases? + −
Done well, it should not. Automated checks run in the pipeline, threat modelling is short and focused, and we fix issues in priority order so delivery keeps moving.
Where should a small team start? + −
Usually with identity and access, secrets management, dependency patching, backups, and basic logging. Those few areas remove a large share of everyday risk for a modest effort.
Can you review code another team wrote? + −
Yes. We combine automated scanning with manual review of high-risk areas such as authentication, payments, and data access, and give clear, prioritised recommendations.
How long does a security review take? + −
A focused review of a single application or cloud environment typically takes two to four weeks. Remediation and ongoing improvement are then planned according to what we find.
